A fun photograph as I was looking for an elevator onto the 6th floor – I couldn’t find any stairs.

Rome, Prenestino quarter, Via Raimondo Montecuccoli 36. In 1945 Roberto Rossellini shot here the scenes of the razzia during which Pina (Anna Magnani) is killed. While the killing took place in front of nr. 17, just opposite nr. 36 – also the inner courtyard of 17 is visible when they round up all the people – the stairs there were too narrow to film. So Rossellini filmed the shots in the stairways at nr. 36. Nowadays an elevator blocks most of the view but the original ramps are still visible.
