These vehicles are ideal for many different lift mods. a moderate effective lift would be a 3″inch lift utilizing either NEW coilover adjustable shocks in the front and lift springs in the back. OR a cheaper way would be spring spacers which is very inexpensive and easy and fast to do in your own garage. the i would recommend 33″inch BFGoodrich all terrains or mud terrains. 35″s could even be possible but probly a bit too large. http://www.performanceproducts.com – camburg.com – swayaway.com – allprooffroad.com ….. have fun. thats a good vehicle. P.S. tranny has nothin to do with lifting it.
Not recomended after 1995 but yes you can. Will never ride the same nor gauges will not read right either.
I would suggest a 2-4 inch. suspension lift because its good for mild offroading and your not going to high to where its extremley top heavy but your going high enough to get the job done and you will probably want to put 33inch tires on it, however you will have to change the tire gears and it will make your gas milage worse but it looks sweet!
none for mild, it already has plenty of ground clearance.
invest in protection first – skid plates, tow hooks, then limited slip differentials (or lockers), then tires, and last lift.
tires – for “mild off roading” as opposed to never going to be on pavement again – I like Uniroyal Liberator A/T because of their incredible durability – especially no problems with Montana and Wyoming “roads”.
yes you can put a lift on and as far as tire go i would look at bfg, mickey tomp. depending on what you wanna spend on tires it can get expensive
