anybody have a Stannah or Acorn stairlift?

Question by peter p: anybody have a Stannah or Acorn stairlift?
saw a commercial on tv for stairlifts and thought it would be a good idea for my mom.
has anyone bought one, if so how much for a normal, straight staircase?
how do you parents/grandparents like them???

My mom is 90 and has fallen on the stairs twice. She just needs to stay off the stairs.
