Old wheelchair,Used by my husband’s Grandmother in the 1950′s, it was second hand when she got it. It was abandoned in the home farm shed for years, then came to our place.

Wow! Wonderful image of a beautiful old wheelchair. It’s so much nicer than the plastic/metal ones available these days.

A rather handsome looking old wheelchair. Might you know how far back it really goes?
I’ll add it to my ‘Los Angeles General Hospital’ gallery only because I think it might fit into the time peiod that wonderful hospital was so busy saving lives and helping people. I really don’t remember what they might have looked like in the late 40s – early 50s when I had gone there.
Thank you for sharing jiggs images.

It’s pretty cool! Does it have any kind of mark on it to indicate who made it? Do you think it was home-made?

    Quite an antigue.
I bet that some of the chairs my late mother used won’t last that long..
    Was this also a commode?
